These are books I've read since I decided to start keeping track in October 2004. School and work-related reading is not recorded. The ratings have to do with how much I think you should read the book, either because it is enjoyable or because it will change how you think about the world in significant ways.
| Rating codes | |
|---|---|
| CL | Classic: Everyone should read this book. |
| VH | Very highly recommended: Almost classic, but not quite. |
| HR | Highly recommended. |
| RE | Recommended. |
| MI | Middling: neither recommended nor not recommended. |
| NR | Not recommended: I tend to not finish these, so there are very few on the list. |
"Thk" is the thickness of the book in millimeters. After January 2006, I measured the books with a caliper. Before then, data are from Amazon. Amazon lists thicknesses only to the nearest tenth of an inch, and I have probably chosen the wrong edition on many books, so these data are less accurate.
